Iran to show ‘The Hands’ to Slovakia

Iran’s short film ‘The Hands’ is to be screened at the Kosice Int’l Monthly Film Festival of Slovakia.

Iranian short film ‘The Hands’ by Parviz Rajaei is set to be screened at the upcoming edition of Kosice International Monthly Film Festival of Slovakia.

According to the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, the festival will screen ‘The Hands’ later this month.

‘The Hands’ is about determinism and free will.

“Some are in stillness to be formed by a hand, and others try to form,” a synopsis for the film reads.

‘The Hands’ won the best short film at the winter season (January-March) of the World Premiere Film Awards in the United States.

Kosice International Monthly Film is a festival with live screenings once a month.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the event decided to organize online screenings on May 11-17, 2020.

The festival aims to “introduce new names from all over the world to our audience," an online submission platform wrote.
